Automotive Technician Intern

Do you want to gain hands-on experience in an innovative and highly collaborative environment? Magicmotorsport is looking for an Automotive Technician Intern to join our R&D team for analysis, testing and process automation activities.

Your role

You will support the R&D team in reverse engineering, script development, and analysis of automotive communication protocols. You will be involved in advanced research projects and collaborate with engineers and developers to optimize software and firmware solutions.

You will be responsible for...

  • Support in ECU reverse engineering and technical documentation;
  • Development of scripting tools (C/Python) for ECU analysis automation;
  • Creation of small tools for reverse engineering and data extraction;
  • Analysis of automotive communication protocols (CAN, LIN, UDS);
  • Collaboration with firmware team to improve protocol documentation;
  • Participation in technical meetings and support in troubleshooting activities;
  • Testing and validation of bug fixes reported by the customer care team;

You’ll be a great addition to our team if you have

  • Technical degree in mechatronics, computer science, or electronics;
  • Basic knowledge of programming languages (C/Python);
  • Understanding of embedded systems and automotive communication protocols;
  • Ability to document processes and technical analysis;
  • Preferable experience with Git, automotive diagnostic and reprogramming tools, as well as familiarity with reverse engineering tools;
